Continue Your Game: The Jam Daily Devlog #8


Today brings another set of minor changes, as well as a new release! As mentioned previously, the physics have been altered for the enemy attack phase, so hopefully they should no longer be influenced due to lag. In addition, some minor bugs in the battle system rewrite have been fixed, including the one I’ve been mentioning for a few days now. That’s right! Fleeing in the battle system once again works!

The new build is already live, so here’s hoping no new issues are discovered between now and then. In the meantime, however, I’ll be working on the new content, since things hopefully are in a state now where things can be iterated on far quicker. See you all then!

The list of changes since the last build are as follows:

- The new save system/new flags system is now in-game.

- Spells now properly cost Technique Points to use.

- The player can now once again flee from battle

- Added a couple of new dialog scenes (nothing major though, if you’ve played recently, it may be best to wait for the content update)

EDIT: The original release contained a crash in David's bedroom that has now been fixed, which was caused by an invalid flag value being checked for. This bug is fixed in the currently available release.
