Continue Your Game: The Jam Daily Devlog #2-5


Well, we've got a simultaneous big update and very minor changes over the past few days. I've refactored the battle system so it's no longer (as much of) a pain to work with! Most of the changes are on the backend, but there are some new features added to the game content-wise. You can find a complete list here:

- The player can now cancel their turn selection before finishing the selection, rather than when moving to the next character's turn.

- Overworld enemies can now start different battle encounters

- Additional text and graphical flairs present in the menu

- XP and Gold is now gained at the end of battle (though there's still no shops or levels yet, so they don't do much)

- The party can now regenerate Health and Tech Points from successfully dodging the enemy attack phase without taking any damage

- The flee option no longer works properly in battle (whoops, sorry about that...)

Hopefully these daily updates can soon start including some actual content changes, but for now, that's the current state of things. Due to the nature of this devlog update, the most recent build has now been uploaded here publicly, to allow for any issues with the new battle system to be discovered early.
